Western Province Preparatory School recently had their centenary concert at the City Hall. The music staff have been preparing for it since last year and it was an emotional celebration for one of my colleagues, Marianne Mclean, who will be retiring at the end of the year. We showcased all of our ensembles which included a percussion group, string ensembles, wind band and the massed ensemble which has every boy in the school taking part. I had little trumpeters, who have only been playing for 6 months, too excited to get onto the stage! Check out the link and see our final number.
