This year I return to the South African National Youth Orchestra as, no longer a youth, but alumni. As much of a reality check as that may be, I am so looking forward to re-experiencing one of the most epic memories I have. The NYO has always been a place where I have learnt, grown, failed, succeeded and made so many friends. This year we are performing Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring and I get to sit principal trombone! It is such an honour to perform this “insert-adjective-because-no-adjective-can-actually-describe-it” work. If you are in Cape Town or Johannesburg come and check out. The Facebook links are here:
